Kevin Cole: We are back!
Nik Cain: But before we go any further, it’s time for an injury report. Miraculously, we have no serious injuries to report. Brad Steel did not break his arm, though it is believed he suffered a bone bruise. In fact, the worst injury of the night is probably Joshua Moon, who suffered a broken nose at the hands of Tragedy. Well, it was either that or the bruised ego suffered by Sylvia Myers suffered at the hands of Comedy. But, all joking aside, I hope that this streak of no serious injuries continues as we head into our last two matches of the night.
Kevin Cole: And what a match we have next!
Nik Cain: This one breaks from tradition a bit. The first two Cruel and Unusual events contained four-way Table Death matches for the tag straps. This year, its been scaled down to a three-way dance. But the Paladin upped the ante by getting the match changed to a Flaming Table Death match. So, to be eliminated, you have to be put through a table that’s been set on fire and stay down for a ten count.

This contest is a Flaming Table Death tag team triangle match scheduled for one fall.
It is for the FCW World Tag Titles.
.Introducing first...
At a total combined weight of 575 pounds...
"The Living Disease" Damien Escar and "Dangerous" Derrick Moore
(“Downfall” by TRUSTcompany begins to play as Escar and Moore make their way to the ring to a less than receptive audience. Escar is quick to throw insults out at the crowd, while Moore just silently follows a couple of feet behind him towards the ring.)
Their opponents...
At a total combined weight of 538 pounds...
The Crusaders
(“Higher” by Creed plays as both The Paladin and Chris White come to the ring to the latter’s theme song. They are met with a mixture of cheers and boos. The Paladin looks to be truly loving the atmosphere and, presumably, has been enjoying the night’s festivities thus far and is anxious to get in on the action. Chris White, on the other hand, is looking something far from anxious. In fact, he’d probably rather be just about anywhere but here.)
Nik Cain: I still don’t think The Paladin’s been able to convince Chris White that this match is a good idea. And, hell, who can blame White for being less than thrilled with the prospect of putting someone through a flaming table, let alone being put through one.
Their opponents...
Led to the ring by The Dream Coach...
At a total combined weight of 514 pounds...
The FCW World Tag Champions...
The Nightmare Express
(The theme song from the movie “Halloween” starts up as the World Tag Champions make their way to the ring, followed by the Dream Coach. The two masked men, dressed in matching ring attire and wearing matching gold title belts walk to the ring in unison. The vibe they give is creepy, if somewhat offset by the presence of the Dream Coach behind them. In any case, the crowd in Philly seems to be strong supporters of the Nightmare Express, as the cheers border on deafening as they make their way to the ring.)

(Amidst the remains of what used to be the announcers’ table, we see people rushing to do various things. One guy is making sure the fire is out. A couple more are attending to Derrick Moore. And a couple others are looking at Kevin Cole and Nik Cain or, more accurately, looking at what’s left of their equipment.)
Kevin Cole: Hello? Are we back on? I don’t even know if anyone can hear this but we’ve got new World Tag Champions! The Paladin just set our announcers table on fire and proceeded to put Derrick Moore through it with one of the most vicious power bombs I have ever seen!
Nik Cain: Moore will damn sure be feeling that one tomorrow, and the day after that and the day after that. It looks like we’ll be standing through the main event, as I suspect every fan in attendance here tonight will be as well.
Kevin Cole: I still don’t even know what the heck a Spider Trap Glass Crash Death Match is! But Mark Payne is going to defend the World Title against Hazard in one and it’s coming up next!
Nik Cain: Well, it’s gonna take our ring crew a little while to get this monstrosity set up. Hazard and Payne go way back. In fact, almost one year ago to the day we had another one of these shindigs and, in the main event, Hazard defeated Mark Payne in an Insane Death Match to capture the FCW World Title for the first time. Then, at Pledge Your Allegiance 3, Payne and Hazard were both entered in the four-way main event. And, in the end, it was Hazard victorious, capturing the World Title for the second time. But, despite that track record, Mark Payne still seems to think that Hazard, along with pretty much everyone else, simply is not on his level. Hazard took offense to that and, tonight, is looking to show Mark Payne and everyone else the level he is truly capable of raising his game to when necessary. And it looks like we’re ready to go.
Kevin Cole: Oh god! This may be the most hideous thing I have ever seen! Why on earth would two men subject themselves to this?
(As the camera pans around the ringside area we see what looks more like some sort of post apocalyptic war zone instead of a wrestling event. Pairs of wooden posts have been put up parallel to each ring post as well as in between all four ring posts, for a total of sixteen wooden posts in total. Barbed wire has been wrapped in various criss-crossing ways around all of these posts creating a net of barbed wire all the way around the ring. On top of these barbed wire nets have been placed sheets of glass. For lack of a better comparison, it’s as if the ring has a moat around it. But instead of a moat filled with water, it’s a moat of barbed wire covered in a layer of glass.)

This contest is a Spider Trap Glass Crash Death match scheduled for one fall.
It is for the FCW World Title.
Introducing first...
From Huntington, WV...
Weighing in at 239 pounds...
"The One Man Riot" Hazard
(“Paint it Black” by Earth Crisis hits as Hazard makes his way to the ring. The One Man Riot has come dressed for a war. No tights, no athletic gear. Just a pair of loose-fitting jeans secured with a belt that appears to be a bit too long for him. Fists are taped up quite heavily, and he's wearing a black sleeveless t-shirt that simply reads "The Machine" on the chest. Black work boots are the footwear in order for tonight's war. As he hits the ring, he strips out of the shirt and tosses it into the crowd and crouches against a set of ropes, eyes trained on the entranceway, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the World Champion.)
Nik Cain: Hazard is ready for war.
Kevin Cole: And that is just what he’ll get!
His opponent...
Fighting out of Allentown, Pennsylvania...
Weighing in at 269 pounds...
The FCW World Champion...
"The Blonde Bastard" Mark Payne
(“Biggest and the Best” by Clawfinger starts to play as the World Champion, Mark Payne, makes his way to the ring. The belt looks as shiny as the day it was first given to Hazard, replacing the one Jean had destroyed. And Payne looks as cocky as the day he wrestled his first match. Nik Cain: It looks like he’s dragging himself over the barbed wire in order to get beneath the ring.
(Hazard disappears beneath the ring for a moment, and crawls back out the other side behind Payne, carrying three four foot long fluorescent light bulbs in each hand. He lets two from each hand fall to the mat, and with alternating swings, brings the light bulb tubes across Payne's back. He quickly scoops up another light bulb and braces it across Payne's chest from behind and executes a Russian legsweep with the bulb across Payne's chest, bursting it on impact. For Hazard's grand finale in the light show, he uses the belt to brace the remaining three light tubes against his body, then carefully scales the turnbuckles and proceeds to do the unthinkable...with three light bulbs strapped to his own chest and stomach, Hazard takes to the air, Super fly-style, and crashes down across Payne, driving shards of glass into each man.)

He motions for the crowd to make a little more noise...a little more...working them into a frenzy before hitting the top rope and crossing his chest in a Hail Mary. From there, Hazard uncorks a frog splash towards Payne, only to find that the World Champion has rolled himself out of the wreckage and hits nothing but glass, barbed wire, and concrete.)

Kevin Cole: I’d rather not if it’s all the same to you.
(Hazard has managed to walk down the ring steps and is using the guardrail to help support himself. He is handed the World Title and struggles to hold it above his head amidst an uproar from the crowd. Pandora comes rushing down to the ring, her eyes red from tears of concern. Hazard is far too proud to let medical personnel attend to him until he’s gotten back stage but does allow Pandora to put his arm around her neck so that she can help him get to the back.)

(Back in the ring, Mark Payne is asking for the mic, which he gets. The crowd hushes a bit as Mark Payne tries to speak, but can’t for a few moments, his body spent the blood running down his face still. He shakes his head and then finally begins to speak.)
Mark Payne: People can say what they want about the silence, why I’ve been so quiet. They can say I am not what I used to be. The fact is there is a time in every man’s life when you have to sit back and do some hard thinking. I’ve had a lot of time to think, a lot of time to really sit down and think about what has to be done. When I look back at my two and a half years here in FCW it is a past that I am immensely proud of. Four times I have been the World Champion, something no one else can say that have done. When you show a highlight reel of FCW’s greatest matches, you find yourself watching Mark Payne time and time again. However there comes a time when everything has to come to an end, a time where you simply run out of things to do, battles to wage, and wars to win.
(Payne pauses for a moment and looks around taking in the atmosphere...)
FCW has been a greatest home I have ever known, and ever will know. It has given me everything I ever dreamed of and more. I have bled for this company because it has become such a part of me that sometimes it is hard to remember a time when I was not FCW to the very bitter core of my existence. I have fought many hard battles but what I do now is perhaps the hardest thing I have ever done.
(Payne pauses again, looking down, sighing a bit...)
Tonight I am announcing my retirement from the rings of FCW.
(The crowd is stunned.)
I feel as if the time has come for me to move on, much like another person you may remember from the very first time we threw one of these Cruel and Unusual bashes. For a long time I felt as if FCW needed me, and that was great, because I thrive in the limelight, and I lived the life that I have to live. But now FCW does not need The Blonde Bastard because this place is filled with men of my talent and they deserve a chance to be to FCW what I have been for as long as I have been here: An Icon. Is this the end for good in terms of me and wrestling? Probably not, but in FCW when you retire it’s for keeps. I have nothing left to prove, nothing left to gain. I am the best this company has ever seen and ever will see. That is enough for this Bastard to walk away with. For the last time...
(Payne smiles his trademark smile.)
It’s been your pleasure compliments of the FCW Icon, the ONE and ONLY:
“BLONDE BASTARD”
(Payne drops the mic.)
Kevin Cole: What a bombshell! Mark Payne has officially retired from FCW!
Nik Cain: I don’t even know what to say. I think I need to let this sink in before I attempt to process it.
Kevin Cole: I think it’s going to be a long time before this entire evening even begins to sink in! We’ve seen the end of two careers, the crowning of new World Tag Champions and a new World Champion and, quite frankly, eight of the damnedest matches I have ever seen!
Nik Cain: You know, I think that sums it up pretty well. Tonight was the damnedest night of wrestling this color commentator has ever seen.
Kevin Cole: And with that, this unbelievable night comes to a close! Until next time this is Kevin Cole for Nik Cain saying goodnight...and god bless.
(The camera does not cut to a shot of the retired Payne. It does not cut to a shot of the new champion Hazard. Instead, we just get a shot of some of the twisted mass of blood stained glass and barbed wire that litters the ringside area. On this gruesome scene, we fade to black.)
